Buenos Aires, capital of the Argentine republic, is derived from Spanish meaning fair winds. Being one of the largest cities in Latin America, it is rich in culture as well as a departure point to travel to the rest of the country.

Buenos Aires offers a large number of activities to tourists, including restaurants and pubs, cultural events and a frenzied nightlife. Palermo is the capital of the autonomous region Sicily and the province of Palermo. It lies on a bay on the north coast of Sicily. In the 8th Century BC, founded the city experienced primarily under the domination of the Arabs and the Normans and the Hohenstaufen heyday. Today, Palermo with 655 875 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2010) of Italy’s fifth-largest city and the political and cultural center in Sicily. Current mayor Leoluca Orlando, the 21 May 2012 was the fourth time elected mayor.

The city lies on a bay of the Tyrrhenian Sea on the north coast of Sicily. It is bordered to the north of the bay about 600 meters high Monte Pellegrino, on the east by Mount Catalfano. The plain between the mountains is Italian Conca d’Oro (“Golden Shell”) called, probably because of the orange groves that surrounded Palermo at the time of Arab domination.
