The coast of the Sun fringes the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea for over 150 km from Gibraltar to Nerja in the southern part of Spain. Costa del Sol comprises of many beautiful towns, enlightening historical places and entertainment centers. Nerja is a village and cities in Spain. Nerja is located in Andalusia, in the province of Malaga on the Costa del Sol about 50 kilometers east of Malaga in the Axarquia. The population is 21,811 (2009), in the summer, thousands of tourists to. The municipality includes the town of Nerja Nerja and about 5 kilometers to the village of Maro.

In about five kilometers from the town of Nerja, just north of Maro, remote caves have evidence of human habitation from the Paleolithic Age found. In the four kilometers east of the town of Nerja Maro village were evidence of Roman settlement Detunda found. The Moors built a little further inland than it is today’s city, the first building.
