Sucre is the capital of Bolivia, it is in the south central part of the country and is the capital of the department of Chuquisaca. There are buses from all cities of the country like La Paz , Cochabamba, Potosi, Uyuni, Tarija and Santa Cruz. The old city of Sucre is 1991 World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The city is not called “the white city”, there are many colonial buildings and churches. Do not miss the view from a hill east of the center (about 20 minutes walk along the Calle Grau of the Plaza).
