Besides its use as a sports venue, the stadium is used primarily for parades and festivals. So it is since May 2002 for the mass gymnastic Arirang , with over 100,000 players a colossal and meticulously choreographed gymnastics – and present art exhibition used. Arirang is one of the few events in North Korea, which is also open to foreign visitors.
