Puerto Princesa is the capital of the Philippine province of Palawan . The area of the Highly Urbanized City is in the middle of the island of Palawan and extends over its entire width. It is bordered by the municipalities of San Vicente and Roxas , and in the south of Aborlan limited. The actual city, where three-quarters of the population live, is situated on a peninsula at the Puerto Princesa Bay on the east coast. The city was officially on 4 Founded in March 1872. The name of Puerto de la Princessa refers to Princess Maria Eulalia of Spain.
