Port Douglas is a small town with about 1,000 inhabitants, about 60 km north of Cairns , Queensland , Australia .

Due to its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef , she lives mainly from tourism . There are numerous hotels and resorts , and many restaurants. About 30 minutes north of Port Douglas is the Daintree National Park , which is accessible via a small ferry. Further north you can with a normal vehicle to Cape Tribulation continue.
