La Gran Sabana – Venezuela

La Gran Sabana is a 450,000 km ² broad plateau in southeastern Venezuela . It is surrounded by up to 1000 meters high mountain ranges. The area is characterized by wide, flat valleys and has a very ancient geological formation. The rocks of the earth’s crust are taken from the earlier Erdurzeit and formed the western part of the Urkontinentes Gondwana .
