The Jurong Bird Park ( Chinese :公园裕廊飞禽; Malay : Taman Jurong Burung ) is a zoo in Singapore , where birds are kept. The bird park has a size of 20 hectares and is located on the western slope of Jurong Hill area in Boon Lay in the District Jurong .
There are more than 9,000 birds of 600 species of birds to be seen, especially species from Southeast Asia . The park has the largest publicly accessible aviary , known as Waterfall Aviary . It houses over 1,500 m² to 20,000 birds of 60 species. The aviary is also the only one of the world, through which a monorail goes. In addition, there is the case, Jurong , an artificial 30-meter high waterfall.
In Lory Loft , a 3,000 square meter and nine-story aviary are over 1,000 Lories watch. The bird park was on 3 Opened in January 1971. The cost amounted to 3.5 million Singapore dollars.
