Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan . The first was founded in the 1960s, the city has 689 000 inhabitants today. Islamabad’s architecture consists of a mixture between Islamic tradition and modernity. The Saudi-Pak Tower is an example of the combination of mogul-Indian decor and modern architecture. The city is home to the Faisal Mosque , known for its striking design and enormous size. The Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad is located, as well as government buildings, the building of the National Assembly, the Supreme Court and the President.
