Northern Illinois climate is typical. The summers are warm and humid, and winters are cold. Further south, the climate is warmer and the winters are milder. Lake Michigan are particularly affected by the proximity of Windy city (windy city), nicknamed tunntetussa in Chicago. Tornadoes are common in the Midwest and, therefore, also of Illinois.

Chicago has two major airports, O’Hare and Midway. For example, SAS and Lufthansa fly to O’Hare airport in Europe. Springfield and St. Louis also has an airport. Getting around is easiest by car. Near Chicago, is wise to be prepared for road tolls (toll highway), but most of you are free. Most of people there speaks English.
