Guinea – The Guinea is a country in West Africa , bordering Guinea-Bissau , of Senegal , from Mali , the Ivory Coast from Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Guinea is a former French colony, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal to the north, Mali to the north and northeast, the Ivory Coast is bordered to the east and Liberia and Sierra Leone to the south. Unrest in Sierra Leone has come across the border, creating humanitarian emergencies and threaten the stability of this country.
Four major regions: Coastal Guinea, Fouta Jalon, Upper Guinea, Forest Guinea.

The Guinean road network is limited to a few hundred kilometers of paved RN from Conakry to some provincial cities. The network is very limited and impractical. 4X4 required on most roads. The roads consist mainly of improved or motorable tracks

A conakry you can eat at any hour, many restaurants are trying to town. They prepare great food: fish on the grill, rice and mafé (sauce) of any kind.

You can work in large global companies that have their representations in Guinea (Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Rusal …), large banks etc.
Guinea is not immune to political violence in particular. The general strike of January / February has caused dozens of civilian deaths in Conakry and other towns. However, no Western has been questioned. The problem was Guineo / GUINEAN. In Conakry, do not walk alone at night and avoid some neighborhoods.
Respect local customs. The majority of the population is Muslim and practice his religion with tolerance.
The majority of inhabitants speak a French school although this is not in remote areas (this is only the official language, not native). It can be understood in English in the capital and in major cities (not by everyone though).
