Connecticut is rich with history, nature, art and beauty. Truly something for everyone. While many people are attracted each year to the casinos of Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, there is more to this state. There are several beaches on the shore, state parks, forests or across the state, and many smaller parks as well. The Gillette Castle State Park in East Hadaam is in excellent destination for families. Steam Train and Boat Ride in Essex are excellent too.

Like most New England, the weather in Connecticut is varied with the seasons. It can be very unpredictable in the spring and autumn, however, throughout the year there is little certainty that will make the time. It is recommended to bring clothes for a variety of temperatures when visiting, and check the weather carefully. Although there are periods of little or no rain, a raincoat or an umbrella are good to bring. Warm clothes in winter and light clothes in summer also important, although it is suggested that you bring a light jacket, even in the summer months.
